The historic Sri Bhramaramba Malleswara Swamy Temple, popularly known as Patha Sivalayam, at Old Town in Vijayawada will host the Sri Sakambhari Devi Mahotsavam from July 8-10 as part of its annual tradition rooted in deep spiritual and agricultural significance.
In a release on Monday, the temple Chairperson Bommu Madhu said that the festivities will commence on Tuesday at 8 a.m. with Maha Ganapati Puja, Punyahavachanam, Akhanda Deeparadhana, Mandapa Puja, Kalasha Sthapana, and distribution of Teertha Prasadam. In the evening at 6.30 p.m., Panchaharatulu, Chaturveda Swasti recitations, and Mandapa Puja will be performed, he said.
On Wednesday morning, rituals include Durga Suktam Parayanam and Lalita Sahasranama Archana, followed by Mandapa Puja and Teertha Prasadam. In the evening, Panchaharatulu, Vedic blessings, and sacred offerings will be performed.
The concluding day includes Chandi Sapta Shati Homam, Rudra Homam, and Poornaahuti. Kalasha Uddvasana and Aashirvachanam (blessings) will follow, marking the completion of the Mahotsavam, he said.
The devotees are requested to participate by offering fruits and vegetables as part of the ritual offerings. Interested individuals can contact the temple office for details.
