In light of Indian Meteorological and the Water Resources departments prediction of heavy rainfall across Godavari basin over the next three days, Eluru Collector K. Vetri Selvi has issued an alert to officials to remain vigilant.
According to estimates, Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage is likely to receive inflows of up to 9 lakh cusecs by July 12. Based on inputs from the Chief Engineer of the Water Resources Department, the Collector instructed that all officials stay on high alert and ensure that field-level staff are also fully prepared to respond to any potential flood-related developments.
