The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) has issued a passenger advisory in view of heightened security measures being implemented in the lead-up to the Independence Day, and an increase in student departures.
The advisory, released on Thursday evening, cautioned travellers about longer wait times at check-in and security checkpoints due to stringent security protocols in place at the airport.
“In light of the ongoing stringent security measures at the airport, we anticipate longer wait times at check-in and security checkpoints. To ensure a smoother and stress-free travel experience we kindly advise all passengers to arrive well in advance, allowing ample time for all necessary procedures. For any specific updates or guidance, please be sure to check with the respective airline,” the advisory said.
