BSF-BGB DG-Level Talks Scheduled in Dhaka from August 25-28

– 69 BSF personnel injured during border incidents in 2024; injuries stood at 74 cases in 2023.

• Fencing challenges persist: Approximately 864.48 km of India’s total shared border with Bangladesh remains unfenced amid objections from BGB since last year’s regime change in Bangladesh. So far, there have been around 85 protests lodged over construction disputes near the borders.
• Illegal entry trends:
