Thane: Several depositors gathered outside

New India Co-Operative Bank

‘s Vasant Vihar branch in Thane on Monday, demanding urgent action for the bank’s revival or merger after

RBI restrictions

were imposed in Feb 2025. Led by the bank’s depositors’ foundation, the protest included depositors from Thane and Mumbai, who said their savings had been inaccessible for over two months.
Depositors urged RBI to expedite the bank’s revival or merger with a stable institution.
