Disciplinary action: Telangana Congress suspends Raavi Srinivas for 6 years over anti-party activities

HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress‘ disciplinary action committee on Sunday suspended party leader Raavi Srinivas from the party for six years due to his involvement in anti-party activities. Srinivas had contested the 2023 assembly election from the Sirpur constituency on a Congress ticket and finished fourth when the results were announced.

The disciplinary action committee, headed by Congress MP Mallu Ravi, discussed the complaints and proof submitted to them by party leaders.

They also considered the explanation from Srinivas and placed him under suspension for six years.TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, replying to media queries, said the disciplinary action committee would soon address the internal disturbances in Congress in the undivided Warangal district.

The Congress MLAs and MLCs from the district had lodged a complaint with the committee and also TPCC against endowment minister Konda Surekha and her husband Konda Murali. The disciplinary action committee on Saturday also took the version of Konda Murali into account.
