A woman was allegedly murdered by her brother-in-law in Ganapuram village of Pagidala mandal in the district on Thursday (September 04, 2025). The woman identified as Sugali Nagamma was a daily wage agricultural labour and was involved in family disputes with her brother-in-law Lokanna Naik. They had a heated argument on Thursday and in a fit or rage Naik attacked the woman with an iron rod leading to her instant death. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
