The State Minority Commission has directed the authorities to complete the remaining construction works of the mother and child block at the SAT Hospital as soon as possible.
The commission has taken a suo motu case based on a news report that the mother and child block at the Thiruvananthapuram SAT Hospital was not operational even after its inauguration. Commission chairman A.A. Rasheed issued the directive to the authorities concerned at a special sitting held at the commission headquarters.
The SAT Hospital Superintendent informed the commission that the works are expected to start within two weeks and be completed in eight months. The commission, which approved the reports, directed the authorities to take necessary steps to complete the work and make the building fully functional by December 2025, and to present the schedule of the work at the next sitting.
