Mobile passport van launched in Goa

Panaji: The Goa regional passport office launched a mobile passport van for last-mile service delivery to improve citizens’ access to passport services. The van was flagged off by Nijo Varghese, regional passport officer, at the passport office, Patto, Panaji. The van will be posted in remote areas for services such as application submission, document verification, and biometric data collection. Scheduled visits will be announced in advance, and appointments must be booked online.“The mobile passport van is part of our commitment to bringing passport services closer to the people. We aim to bridge the gap between the passport office and applicants who face difficulties in reaching us due to geographical or mobility challenges,” Varghese said. This citizen-centric initiative is aligned with the ministry of external affairs’ vision of providing convenient, transparent, and efficient passport services to every corner of the country.
