A school in Coimbatore rural received a bomb threat on Friday, following which extensive searches were carried out on its premises.
The Coimbatore District Police said that Isha Home School on the premises of the Isha Yoga Center received an email bomb threat on Friday morning.
The bomb detection and disposal squad and dog squad of the district police rushed to the school and carried out extensive searches for over an hour. However, they could not find any suspicious material during the searches. The police declared that the threat was a hoax.
The police said that an investigation will be carried out to trace the origin of hoax threat.
