Three persons were killed on the spot, and four others critically injured after a lorry and an SUV collided with one another near Srinivasapuram on the Rayachoti–Madanapalle highway in Annamayya district, on Sunday evening.
According to the Rayachoti police, the two vehicles collided at high speed, leaving three dead on the spot. Their bodies were mutilated beyond recognition, and the injured were shifted to the area hospital at Rayachoti, they added.
One of the deceased was identified as ‘Borewell’ Sekhar Reddy, a known local businessman, while the other two were said to be his staff. The police registered a case and took up further investigation.
