Sri Gangai Amman Kovil and Sri Karmukil Vannan Kovil are organising Kumbabhisekam (Maha Samprasonam) on July 2, 2025 (6 a.m. to 7 a.m.) at Mambalam High Road in Lala Thottam, T. Nagar. The temples, cheek by jowl with each other, are located near the Kodambakkam Railway Station. Later in the day, at 12 noon, Annadhanam will be organised jointly by temple authorities. At 8.00 p.m., the deities of both temples lodged in their respective vahanams will be taken out in a procession around the mada veedis, says a press release. Sri Devi Bhu Devi Samedha Srinivasa Perumal, Sri Devi Gangai Amman Swamigal Pushpa Alankaram with Nadaswaram, Vana Vedikkai and Thiruveedhi Oorvalam will mark the function, says the release.The trustees of the temples have appealed to devotees to contribute to the sacred event.
